Sullivan County Council on the Arts - Supporting the arts, culture and heritage of Sullivan County, Pennsylvania

The eventual goal of the SCCA is to provide a central online calendar for all of Sullivan County. If your organization would like to have its activities listed here, please contact us.

Over the next few years, the Council will undertake its most ambitious project, a series of eight productions of Roving Historical Theater, each held in a different county community, and each highlighting the history and heritage of that community. We will use local talent to write, direct and act in the productions.

2008

February 16 - Clothesline Art Exhibit, with prizes for children's art, Kiwanis Winterfest at Camp Brule

April 5 - Spring entertainment at the Dar-Way and Highlands senior centers

April 12 - 16th annual Youth Art Exhibit and awards at Sullivan County Library in Dushore

May 7 - 11th annual Choice of Show purchase of a high school student's artwork for permanent display at the school. Show, 6-9 pm

July 11-12 - "Floating Past Hill's Grove," the second production of the Roving Historical Theater, Hillsgrove Fire Hall, 7 pm

August 2-3 - 2nd annual Blueberry Fields Music Festival, two days of music and blueberry-themed food and crafts at Berry Fields Farm on Cahill Mountain

October 11-12 - annual juried Art Expo at the Sullivan County Fall Festival, Forksville Fairgrounds

November - annual Artisans Holiday Sale, site to be announced
